Lance Armstrong resigns from Livestrong to keep sponsors

The USADA released a dossier related to doping by the prominent American cyclist Lance Armstrong. According to the dossier, this sportsperson took steroids and other related drugs. After publishing several sponsors that donated for Lance Armstrong’s foundation Livestrong decided to cut their links with this sportsperson and his charity organization.
One of companies that decided to stop sponsoring the organization which fights against cancer is Nike. This company was working much time with the athlete. Finally Nike affirmed that it would not have anything longer with the athlete who was cheating over 10 years.
24 Hour Fitness also refused to work with Lance Armstrong anymore.
Several other companies also made the decision to stop sponsoring Livestrong.
However, the former professional cyclist tried to do a lot in order to prevent negative influence of his athletic reputation on the organization that helps persons the experience cancer to survive. He claimed that he would not be the chairman of the foundation anymore. Although the cyclist tried to keep sponsors, he couldn’t do it.
As for the USADA, it announced that Lance Armstrong was found guilty of doping. As a result, the cyclist received lifetime suspension. Furthermore, he lost all 7 titles acquired at Tour de France.
But the International Cycling Union (ICU) said that the USADA made a wrong decision. Although Lance Armstrong stopped fighting against accusations pronounced by the USADA, the ICU confirmed that it would appeal the decision even without involvement of the athlete.
However Lance Armstrong never tested positive for any prohibited product, it was concluded that he was guilty of doping. It was confirmed that he used steroids and other banned preparations but he used some simple as well sophisticated ways in order to prevent positives. So, the athlete was able to dope and remain undetectable.
Now the sportsman pays for his doping. The decision of certain companies to stop sponsoring his organization is a great loss for this man.
