Hard trainings could cause rhabdomyolsis in players of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team

More than 10 players of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team were taken in hospital because of  rhabdomyolsis. This is a disease related to fast damage of skeletal muscle which results in leakage into urine myoglobin, a muscle protein. Individuals with this disease suffer from severe muscle aches, weakness and soreness. Since byproducts of the muscle damage become toxic to the kidneys, there is an enhanced risk of kidney failure in this case.
Experts started immediately to demonize nephrotoxic supplements or anabolic steroids in occurring of rhabdomyolsis in the Hawkeyes’ football players but there was no any  connection between these products and this condition in them. The doctor James Williams told to CBS during an interview that nephrotoxic supplements were responsible for the condition in these football players. He confirmed that individuals had dehydration, when their muscles became broken due to hard trainings. When supplements are administrated in such situations, they are turned to be toxic to kidneys directly, according to James William. He added that this condition caused rhabdomyolsis.
Unfortunately, the media didn’t interview real high-qualified specialists. Only so-called specialists were asked by media. That’s why the affirmations were misleading.
It is suggested that Mike Gimbel of a Maryland anti-steroid and anti-supplement organization doesn’t possess needed knowledge. He just claims that however they do not know how the supplements act in body and whether they cause any positive effects, these preparations are very dangerous for health.
Nevertheless, several aspects displayed that anabolic steroids were not responsible for rhabdomyolsis of the football players. They submitted to tests for forbidden preparations and they tested negative. Moreover, an expert has studied and shown that there was no any relation between muscle disorders and anabolic steroids or HGH. Richard J. Auchus, an expert on steroid metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, assures that gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid is the only medicine that could lead to this condition. Sometimes this product is applied for anabolic effects as well. Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid is an illicit drug. Several experts like Auchus, a consultant of the U. S. Anti-Doping Agency, assure that no any drug is to be blamed for this disease of these football players. He points out that the muscle destruction is caused by extremely hard training to which the coaches pushed the football players.
The trainer Chris Doyle will be probably condemned for rhabodomyolsis of the football players, if steroids or other supplements will be not turned to be the reasons of the disease. Who knows? Even sport in itself is associated with certain risks.

Did the Pittsburgh Steelers win in 1970s due to steroids?

When it is announced that the Pittsburgh Steelers intend to play, reporters seem to be responsible to write about their links with steroids. They put efforts to create a steroid scandal and to find any supposed relations of this team with it.
Mike Fish of ESPN displayed the same attitude, when the Steelers played in the 2009 Super Bowl.  Thisjournalist turned to be successful in writing news related to the Steelers and steroids.
However sportswriters do not have always success, when it comes to relations of a team or a sportsperson with performance-enhancing drugs before a competition, the situation is changed, if it is spoken about the Steelers. Reporters like writing about their history, about the lesson related to anabolic steroids that took place in 1970s.
David Fleming wrote about historical lessons of the Steelers before a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. This sportswriter mentioned about time, when the NFL hadn’t yet prohibited administration of steroids. So, according to several sources, players of the Pittsburgh Steelers administrated steroids in the late 1970s. It is noticed in the 1991 book “False Glory: The Steve Courson Story” that over 70 % of the offensive linemen of the Steelers  applied steroids.
It must have been true but you have to understand that intake of steroids was not prohibited. Why are the Steelers blamed, if intake of steroids was permitted?
Jim Haslett told the New Orleans Saints that the Pittsburgh Steelers had won numerous times in 1970s and in 1980s due to steroids. According to this trainer, the players of the team became much more powerful due to steroids.
But it is important to be careful here. The Steelers were not the first football team that applied steroids and other preparations which have performance-enhancing effects. There were other professional football teams that used steroids even in well-organized manner.
Matt Chaneygave the better explanation related to intake of steroids by football players. He noticed in his book “The Spiral of Denial: Muscle Doping in American football” that the Steelers were not responsible for the steroid revolution in football. There was another team that was responsible for this factor. The San Diego Charges administrated steroids before the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1960s.
However the Steelers used steroids in 1970s, it is impossible to consider that they won due to steroids. There were also players of other teams that administrated these preparations too. Nevertheless, the Steelers were successful!

Bodybuilders may support some affirmations of specialists related to usage and effects of Trenbolone from own experiences

Trenbolone is an anabolic steroid that is administrated by bodybuilders for many years. Unluckily, this preparation has never been considered to be  an effective remedy for medical needs. It isn’t approved for human intake by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This medicine has been blamed numerous times by media. Many articles have assured that this preparation is quite  dangerous. But recent studies have displayed opposite facts. It is believed that general attitude to this medication may be soon  changed. Experts from Florida, including Joshua Yarrow, assure that this product may be used as testosterone for hormone replacement therapy.  The specialists point out that it is an excellent alternative drug to testosterone for the need mentioned above. Results of researches led by these specialists have been published in the American Journal of Physiology – Endocrinology and Metabolism.
Furthermore, the experts assure that trenbolone enanthate has even some priorities over testosterone for some individuals. Bodybuilders  know and support the statements linked with this preparation. It is known that testosterone aromatases. As for trenbolone, it is converted neither to estradiol, nor to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). That’s why trenbolone doesn’t cause unwanted consequences linked with estrogen and DHT.
Yarrow  says about the researches led by him and his colleagues. Castrated rats have been given trenbolone enanthate.  Even reduced dosages of this drug have elevated their muscle size and kept bone mineral density. There have not been observed such side reactions, as prostate enlargement or polycythemia in these lab rats.
But too enhanced dosages of testosterone enanthate were required to produce the same anabolic results in muscles as were caused by reduced doses of trenbolone enanthate. But such negative effects, as enlargement of prostate and induced hemoglobin accompanied the induced doses of testosterone enanthate. It is suggested by the researchers that trenbolone acts as selective androgen receptor modulators, producing anabolic effects in muscles and bones without androgenic undesirable consequences.
Professional competitive bodybuilders prefer taking trenbolone some weeks before competitions because it lead to fat loss. Furthermore, the researches have displayed that the same measures of trenbolone have more powerful lipolytic effects than those of testosterone. It has been detected that more trenbolone an individual takes, the greater the fat loss is caused.
Since trenbolone lacks aromatization, it is usually used together with such steroids, as testosterone, Dianabol or with another aromatizable steroid. The lack of aromatization leads trenbolone to disability to be applied alone for testosterone replacement therapy. The non-aromatizable characteristic of this medication is responsible for just partial protection of bones.
Nevertheless, it is possible to conclude that additional studies are needed in order to apply trenbolone for hormone replacement therapy.

Skeptic attitude to Alberto Contador may be explained by the affirmation that all cyclists dope

The Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador that won the 2010 Tour de France tested positive for Clenbuterol. Quantities of this substance in his body were too small. They were 40 times less than its minimum standard of the detection capacity. But the WADA doesn’t have any tolerance when it comes to this preparation. Any quantity of this substance uncovered in a sportsperson’s body results in ban.
This cyclist claims that contaminated meat is responsible for his positive for Clenbuterol. Many experts believe him, since the amount uncovered in his urine are very small.   Nonetheless, the Spanish cyclist Alberto Contadorwas banned.
Douwe de Boer, anti-doping expert of Contador’s defense team, says that he becomes disappointed in decisions of the WADA day by day. He mentions that he seems as if the WADA enjoyed to ban innocent sportspeople but not to determine cheaters.
The expert Zhao Jian of China’s Anti-Doping Agency confirms that a person can test positive from contaminated meat. It isn’t just anyone’s opinion. This statement is scientifically proven. The expert Detlef Thieme from Germany supports this affirmation too.  He claims that nobody can doubt about it.
The expert Wilhelm Schaenzer of the Laboratory for Doping Analysis from Germany notices that it is an obvious problem that they do not have ability to investigate and detect doping clearly.
According to anti-doping researches conducted in Cologne, it is more likely to detect Clenbuterol from contaminated meat than from intentional intake of this medicine for athletic purposes.
China’s National Anti-Doping Laboratory reports that experiments conducted by them have shown that consumption of pork meat that contains Clenbuterol may cause positives for this substance.
Nevertheless, there are skeptic people who assure that the Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador has administrated forbidden drugs.
Skeptic attitude to the cyclist Alberto Contador can be explained by the condition that intake of EPO, anabolic steroids, HGH and other medicines which possess performance-enhancing effects is widespread in cycling. The former cyclists Floyd Landis and Bernhard Kohl that have been caught by the WADA confirm that all cyclists take performance-enhancing product. The chemist Patrick Arnold has the same point of view.

Matt Vonk and Steve Ples haven’t tested positive for steroids but they suffer together with their teammates

Anti-doping rules are controversial in several situations. While several sportspersons are caught taking steroids, the whole teams are suspended. So, persons that don’t lie receive suspensions together with liars. Can’t you find it  unfair? Why should good sportspersons be kept from realizing of their hopes and dreams, if other individuals violate anti-doping laws?
The Waterloo football program was shut down for a year. It was due to results of an investigation.  Everything began due to a bust of a player that was caught having many  vials of anabolic steroids and HGH. It led to numerous investigations led in Canadian colleges. The investigations were led by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport.
An investigation displayed eight positives of the Waterloo football players. It caused the decision to suspend the whole team for a year.
Unluckily, fair players of the Waterloo College were suspended together with cheaters that took forbidden performance-enhancing products. The players Matt Vonk and Steve Ples  played at Laurier before the scandal linked with steroids and the suspension. These two players didn’t use steroids. That’s why they hadn’t to be suspended.
These two football players intended to transfer to another college in order to realize their dreams linked with football. But these football players received refusal. Thus, Matt Vonk and Steve Ples will be kept from playing football the whole year.

“Decca Duarbulon”! What could you say about the journalists that write the name of a popular steroid like this?

Since pieces of news linked with steroids are popular in the whole world, many journalists present them even without appropriate knowledge connected with these products. Some journalists are not able even spell names of the drugs about which they write news. If an article’s theme is linked with a well-known steroid utilized by different athletes, readers expect to find out about essential characteristics and researches connected with this steroid. A journalist who writes about a steroid should know at least general information about it.
Unfortunately, you can come across essential lack of knowledge, when you read news about steroids. For example, the reporter Matthew Kelly has written an article about Nandrolone Decanoate which was published in the Newcastle Herald newspaper. As it is well known by many people, the trade name of this product is quite popular. Athletes often say shortly: they call it just Deca instead of Deca Durabolin.  The name  “Deca Durabolin” has been applied for about 50 years. But Matthew Kelly has done mistakes even in the name of this popular steroid. This journalist has written it following: Decca Duarbulon. Can you trust this journalist of the Newcastle Herald? Can you be sure that the other affirmations that are provided by Matthew Kelly  are true, if he can’t even write the name of the product correctly? Moreover, it is not the only case displayed the lack of knowledge  about the aspects he writes. The Newcastle Herald seems to lack studies linked with steroids. Matthew Kelly asks the local trainer to support his statement about steroids that is following: black market of anabolic steroids is full of young sportsmen that look for performance-enhancing drugs to build muscled bodies. Since it must be true, the trainer is not able to support the affirmation because he knows just the things he has been said. He can report nothing really because he is not involved in this problem directly.
Another lack of researches is shown in the Newcastle Herald’s description of the methods to detect consumers of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. It is written that if a person has massive arms but not chest or  an increased chest and not arms, he\she is steroid user. This is the “depth” of researches provided by the Newcastle Herald.
