John Ziegler was one of such doctors. He administered the steroid Dianabol to Olympic athletes.
Steroids were also widely applied in sports and bodybuilding in 1960s and in 1970. Over 50 % Olympic athletes took these preparations. However new kinds of tests were introduced by anti-doping officials, it was impossible to combat administering these medicines by athletes.
