Trainers Robert Eilertsen and Gunnar Strand Jacobsen were arrested due to Operation Gilde in Norway

Norwegian police officers have busted a large doping ring. Over 10 individuals that were implicated in illegal operations were arrested. Six persons were sentenced to jail.
According to reports of the newspaper Dagens N?ringsliv (DN), the doping ring was established in Trondheim. DN presented own investigation connected with illicit sale of anabolic steroids in Norway. Police investigated the case.
It is suggested that a secret center is located in Trondheim. It manages illegal distribution of doping preparations and money laundering.
The arrested persons were connected with bodybuilding, fitness and health industries in Norway. Certain individuals were arrested at their homes; others – in business offices, parking lots and tram stops.
Police believe that certain individuals are hidden by the names of Guru and Karma.
Robert Eilertsen belongs to those who have been arrested. He is an operator and editor of a fitness blog. This person coached well-known sportspeople within football, boxing, handball, etc.
It is suggested that Eilertsen and several other individuals have provided dangerous doping medications to Norwegian youth during certain years.
Approximately 60 police officers were involved in raids. The raids resulted in 11 arrests.
Since the investigation has not been finished, police officers say nothing about their further actions.
Norwegian customs officers and tax authorities assisted the investigation.
Numerous computers and certain documents were seized during raids of homes, business officers, cars, etc.
Eilertsen and Gunnar Strand Jacobsen, another arrested man, have denied their connections with doping preparations. Jacobsen is the owner of Kaliber Gym in Trondheim, one of the most famous gyms in Norway. Jacobsen was personal trainer of athletes that obtained prizes. He coached athletes who attended to various sports. He is considered to be a high-qualified nutrition expert.
The raid was called “Operation Gilde”.
Eilertsen and Jacobsen are accused in sale of doping preparations and money laundering.

Illegal actions are hidden by legitimate commercial companies

Spain’s police officers arrested Scott Boote, a man, who was implicated in illegal operations linked with an international drug ring manufacturing stimulants which increase libido. Huge measures of products were seized by policemen. It was estimated the street value of these drugs. It was confirmed that it was almost ?3 million. A Briton, a 72-year-old person from Liverpool, was also questioned. According to statements of police officers, these two persons produced eight new sexual stimulants and sold them via internet without providing medical controls. Six other individuals were also questioned during this investigation. Investigators claimed that the individuals that were involved in this illicit drug ring got cars and another property due to sale of illicit sexual preparations. Some bank accounts were blocked by police officers. Over 100,000 dosages of anabolic steroids, properties and vehicles were confiscated.
A spokesperson for Spanish police affirmed that all members of the drug ring lived quite luxuriously. They have numerous properties and luxury cars. They bought properties abroad in order to hide the shaded business. Investigators determined that the ring sold sexual drugs for both males and females. The medications were sold per internet. Persons from the whole world could purchase the preparations. Thus, people from the USA, the UK, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. were customers that obtained preparations from this ring. Three factories were established in Costa del Sol. Investigators believe that those that were manufacturing the medications didn’t possess proper knowledge for this purpose. According to them, the persons that were involved in the drug ring managed also legal business in order to hide the illegal one. They put efforts to provide legitimate appearance to illegal actions. Other commercial companies masked the profits obtained from the illegal drug ring.
Boxes that had to be sent to customers were also found by police. Anabolic steroids were also included in the drugs seized by law enforcement officers. Packages, labels and leaflets were also found in possession of the arrested persons.

Steroid excuse for aggressiveness during driving

Although it is not yet manifested scientifically whether uncontrolled aggressive behavior is an adverse effect of steroids, these products are demonized for various criminal actions quite frequently.
Michael Barton, a man from Britain, hit a Ford Fiesta, while he was driving his Volkswagen Golf. The driver of Ford Fiesta was Paul Gard. Barton had passed Paul Gard. But then Michael Barton had to pull back in front of him, since another vehicle was driving the other way. Paul Gard flashed him. So, he had to brake immediately. Barton got infuriated, stopped his Volkswagen Golf, broke the wing mirror of Paul Gard’s car and hit Gard in the face. Then Gard’s wife took her mobile and informed police. While she was calling, Barton drove off calmly.
Michael Barton, a 21-year-old man that has a kid of two years old, takes steroids to bulk up. So, it has been said that these substances affected his behavior. The defense attorney for Michael Barton confirmed that steroids influenced on temperament of his client, since these medications enhanced his levels of testosterone.
Previously Michael Barton was convicted for some crimes, including domestic violence. Last year this young person pleaded guilty to an assault, criminal damage and driving incautiously due to his anger following assaults.
Patrick Hooton, the judge, affirmed that he was not sure that steroids led to improper behavior. But he noted that it was completely mad to become angered and hit a man in the face just because he flashed him. The judge noted that Barton’s behavior was too shameful and he said: “you ought to go to prison”.
So, this young man was given 6-month jail sentence suspended for a year; he was also sentenced to pay 500 dollars in compensation and ?277 for damage of the Ford Fiesta.

Green and white tea may help to cheat

Sportspeople become more and more sophisticated in administration of steroids. They find new ways to mask their administration of prohibited drugs. Certain sportspersons spend time studying scientists’ statements that could help them to hide that they dope. Nowadays a way has been found: athletes may mask administration of testosterone by drinking of green tea.
Testosterone is a hormone which is secreted in body naturally. Thus, it may be difficult for anti-doping organizations to define that an athlete has administered testosterone. T: E ratio testing is commonly utilized by anti-doping organizations. Such tests can show uncommon ratio of testosterone to epitestosterone in urine. But it doesn’t show difference between testosterone which has been produced in body naturally and that introduced into body with the help of injections, gels, etc.
Declan Naughton and his colleagues at Kingston University ( London) have found that green tea contains such compounds that are called “catechins”. They have capacity to inhibit the enzyme UGT2B17. This enzyme induces joining glucuronic acid to testosterone. If UGT2B17 is inhibited, less testosterone glucoronide is excreted in urine.
Catechins, the substances that may mask intake of testosterone, are in green and white tea. Black tea lacks such compounds.
Naughton and his colleagues have conducted some experiments. They conclude that a cup of strong green tea mask usage of testosterone.
Thus, those athletes who use testosterone can lower measures of testosterone which are excreted in urine by consumption of green or white tea. Green or white tea is capable to block excretion of testosterone, enhancing circulating levels of this hormone.
The World Anti-Doping Agency was informed about the discovering by the scientists. If this process occurs, it means that it is not worthy to subject sportspersons to urine tests. Blood tests should be performed in order to detect testosterone use.
Olivier Rabin, the WADA’s specialist, claims that regular checks of blood steroids will be added. Everything will be done by anti-doping officials in order to avoid fooling of urine tests.

Wim Vansevenant’s products contained just amino acids

The case connected with Wim Vansevenant, a former Belgian rider, changed surprisingly. An analysis displayed that the doping medications that were ordered by him didn’t contain the contents written on the labels. The former Belgian rider was cheated by the company where he ordered the medicines.
Last year several packages sent to Wim Vansevenant by an Australian company were intercepted by customs officials. It was written on the intercepted bottles that they contained the doping medicine TB-500. It is a peptide hormone that has ability to induce increasing stamina and speed healing. An investigation was started by the Belgian authorities. It was suspected that Wim Vansevenant supplied the Omega Pharma-Lotto team with doping medicines. This person rode professionally 10 years, from 1998 to 2008. Last 6 years of his career he was working with this team.
An analysis of the bottles intercepted by customs manifested that they contained only amino acids. Wim Vansevenant’s lawyer noted that the case had to be dropped. He explained that since the medication was not related to doping, the former sportsperson didn’t deserve to be punished.
The prosecutor’s spokesperson Johan Lescrauwaet claimed that the contents didn’t correspond to the name of the preparation which was indicated on the label and to the affirmations of the former athlete.
Just amino acids were found in the bottles. No any doping preparation. Thus, there is no any evidence that Wim Vansevenant provided doping medications to other individuals.
The hearing of the former Belgian professional rider was scheduled to be later.

Bruce Goldberger expresses criticism for federal prosecutors of Roger Clemens

Testimonies of the famous toxicologist Bruce Goldberger will probably influence greatly on decision of the court in the case connected with Roger Clemens. Bruce Goldberger is the Professor of Pathology and Director of Toxicology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. This expert testified on behalf of Roger Clemens. However he was called in order to replace Don Catlin, the director of the WADA UCLA Medicine, Goldberger’s testimonies didn’t correspond to those which are ordinarily provided by anti-doping agencies. He testified on behalf of the accused sportsman.
Bruce Goldberger is known due to his participation in different news programs. Even during such programs he doesn’t refrain from criticism. He criticized several anti-doping organizations, including the WADA.
The toxicologist expressed critical words for feds in the case linked with Roger Clemens. They based on “beer can evidence” presented by Brian McNamee to prove that his client applied steroids and HGH. Brian McNamee, the former personal coach of Roger Clemens, presented a beer can with utilized needles and syringes that had traces of such steroids, as Sustanon, Primobolan Depot and Deca Durabolin and were mixed allegedly with Roger Clemens’ blood. The beer can was maintained by McNamee more than 6 years. Bruce Goldberger noticed that such basis was not reasonable.
Bruce Goldberger claimed that it was impossible to base on “beer can evidence”. He noted that the accusation couldn’t be proven because the theory of contamination could present.
Thus, Goldberger didn’t support the evidence used by the governmental agents. Earlier the toxicologist also expressed criticism connected with evidence applied by some anti-doping agencies.
Certain years ago the toxicologist Bruce Goldberger testified on behalf of Floyd Landis, an American celebrated cyclist, when this sportsman appealed positives for steroids. A WADA-accredited lab situated in France discovered traces of exogenous testosterone; T: E ratio and carbon isotope ratio tests were utilized by the lab. Bruce Goldberger expressed similar words and criticism during the appeal linked with Floyd Landis.
Goldberger said during an interview that the WADA utilized unsuitable methods and violated rights of athletes in order to reach the success in anti-doping programs.
As for Floyd Landis, he didn’t have success in his appeal and admitted that he had applied steroids, EPO and some other related medicines.
No one knows which results will be achieved by Roger Clemens. Will the government prove that he has lied before the Congress? Will he admit to using banned medications? Or will be the results contrary?

Prosecutors’ tendency to use changes in physical appearance as proof for usage of steroids can’t be used in case against Roger Clemens

It is known by each baseball fan that Roger Clemens is accused in obstruction of justice. It is believed that he has lied before Congress about intake of steroids and HGH.
Rusty Hardin claimed that there was no any difference in physical appearance of Roger Clemens before, during and after his working with the coach Brian McNamee. He affirmed that this aspect was a proof that Roger Clemens hadn’t applied performance-enhancing drugs.
Enhancement of muscle mass is often used by prosecutors as proof that a person administers steroids or/and other related drugs. But this tendency was not used during the governmental case against Roger Clemens. No one could claim that Roger Clemens’ muscles demonstrated that he had used steroids and HGH. It is one of differences between the case against Roger Clemens and that against Barry Bonds.
When it comes to the governmental case against Barry Bonds, prosecutors called many individuals in the trial that could testify that anabolic steroids promoted essential changes in physique of this sportsperson. They confirmed that application of steroids led to increase of muscle size, increased size of the head and testicular atrophy in Barry Bonds.
So, the defense attorney Rusty Hardin showed four pictures of Roger Clemens. The photos displayed physical appearance of Roger Clemens, including the time when Clemens was working with the coach Brain McNamee. Hardin noted that the photos manifested that there were no changes in physical appearance that could manifest that he applied steroids and HGH.
The attorney Rusty Hardin confirmed that the pictures displayed only the process of ageing. The masseur Cheryl Redfern noticed that she didn’t observe any changes in physique of Roger Clemens. Roger Clemens experienced neither back acne, nor gynecomastia, nor dramatically enhanced muscle size.
Phil Garner, a former baseball player, also claimed that there were not any essential changes in physical appearance and performance of Roger Clemens during working with the trainer Brian McNamee.
The Assistant US Attorney Steve Durham put efforts to discredit the argument about lack of physical changes in Roger Clemens during the cross-examination of Garner. He noted that while several steroids increased muscle mass, others didn’t induce gaining muscles. Thus, he confirmed that the pictures could say nothing about steroid use.
Federal prosecutors want to take advantages in both cases: in the case against Roger Clemens and in that against Barry Bonds. While they confirm that physical changes in Barry Bonds manifest that he has taken steroids, lack of changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens doesn’t prove that he hasn’t applied steroids.

Anders Breivik studied effects of steroids before committing murders

Anders Behring Breivik is a killer of more than 70 persons. He bombed governmental buildings in Oslo (Norway). Certain teenagers of the Workers’ Youth League camp were also killed by this criminal on Utoya island in July 2011.
This criminal prepared for the murders significantly. He noted that he had had cycles with steroids.  Since he applied steroids, these medicines were demonized for the murderes by many reporters.
But what did specialists affirm? Joerge Moerland, a professor of forensic toxicology at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, contested affirmations of these reporters. The physician Moerland affirmed that anabolic steroids didn’t contribute in rampage of this person. But the toxicologist noted that it was impossible to exclude that these preparations could cause aggressiveness in the murderer.
An ECA, a combination of caffeine, aspirin and ephedrine, was also taken by the killer. Actually, this stack is commonly administered by bodybuilders for fat burning and pre-workout stimulation. It was determined that Anders Breivik has utilized great amount of the combination. The amount utilized by him was by 50 % greater than it is permitted under European Union’s rules.
The expert Joerge Moerland noted that the killer’s behavior was more substantially influenced by the ECA than steroids. He pointed out that ephedrine might cause desire to be involved in risky activities. Joerge Moerland noted that the murderer’s central nervous system had been affected by ephedrine.
Nevertheless, the toxicologist Moerland mentioned about limitation of the ECA’ impact. The amount of caffeine consumed by Breivik was equal to circa 5 cups of coffee. Thus, the quantity was not enough great in order to be demonized for the massacre.
The murderer described his usage of steroids and dietary supplements in details. He also recommended other individuals ordering steroids at Alinshop.
Breivik expressed his dislike of Dianabol because it could lead to liquid retention. He explained that Dianabol could add more body mass than users could carry. According to his statements, about 50 % of the mass gotten due to this product is water retention. The killer decided to apply some combinations that were proper for his purposes.
Breivik studied advantages and disadvantages of different steroids in order to choose those who were suitable for his needs. He confirmed that Testosterone Propionate was better than Dianabol. He also supposed that stacks of Dianabol with Aromasin or application of Dianabol followed by intake of Winstrol could benefit essentially.
Thus, the murderer prepared for the massacre scrupulously. He spent time in order to choose and plan steroid cycles and intake of dietary supplements. He also thought over each detail related to attacks and murders.
However certain persons thought that Anders Breivik was legally insane, it’s wrong. It is evident that he has done it consciously.

Outlaw motorcycle gangs smuggle steroids

According to the newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald”, illegal application of steroids has become widespread in Australia due to outlaw motorcycle gangs. The gangs receive high profit and reduced risks.
The detective Nick Bingham has noticed that New South Wales Police doesn’t focus on investigation linked with application of steroids but anabolic steroids become targets of investigations, when police officers arrest motorcycle gangs for violation of other laws.
According to the detective Nick Bingham, although New South Wales police officers don’t raid houses of gangs for steroids, they find them, when searches for weapons and psychoactive drugs are conducted.
Bingham has noted that they commonly seize such amounts of steroids from motorcycle gangs which are only for personal usage. Amounts of other substances that are commonly found in possession of gangs are much greater than those of steroids.
Bingham has noticed that criminals prefer taking anabolic steroids in order to get threatening muscular physiques. They want to look big and powerful.
However the detective Nick Bingham is sure that gangs possess steroids just for self-administration, the newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald” doesn’t agree with his point of view. It is reported that motorcycle gangs are implicated in smuggling of steroids.
Although gyms are considered to be the main sources of steroids for bodybuilders, it is stated by “The Sydney Morning Herald” that some gyms have close connections with motorcycle gangs. The Herald claims that many seizures made by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service are linked directly with distribution of steroids by motorcycle gangs.
According to statements of Australian Customs, mail seizures of steroids have been enhanced obviously in comparison with past years.
More than 2, 000 seizures were made in 2009-2010 and more than 5, 000 seizures of steroids were recorded in 2010-2011.
Lots of seizures were related to personal administration of steroids imported by bodybuilders.

David Segui will testify against Roger Clemens

Federal prosecutors hope that the judge Reggie Walton will permit the former first baseman of the Major League Baseball David Segui to present testimony in the trial linked with the case of Roger Clemens. This player had a conversation with Brian McNamee, the former trainer of Roger Clemens. It is confirmed that they have spoken about steroid use by the former celebrated baseball player.
McNamee was chosen to testify against Roger Clemens because he turned out to be the only person that had direct knowledge about intake of steroids and other related drugs by Roger Clemens. Furthermore, Brian McNamee stored a beer can with vials, syringes and needles that were allegedly mixed with Roger Clemens’ blood. DNA analysis was made in order to define whether the blood belonged really to Clemens.
Rusty Hardin, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, confirmed that the steroid evidence was thought up by Brian McNamee after the interrogation by federal prosecutors.
But prosecutors claimed that David Segui told them that Brian McNamee said that he kept certain things as evidence of steroid use by some players in 2001. It was some years before the former trainer of Roger Clemens became the target of the investigation.
Information presented by David Segui to federal prosecutors differed entirely from that provided to the sportswriter Jim Baumbach. His statements provided to the sportswriter were published in an article in 2008. According to that article, Segui claimed that he had never spoken about steroids with his friend Brian McNamee.
Segui learnt about involvement of Brian McNamee into the trial of Roger Clemens just in 2006, when he read an article in the Los Angeles Times.
Segui said openly about personal administration of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. He said that players of the Major League Baseball asked him many times whether he had utilized steroids. This person acknowledged that he had administered them. But Segui confirmed that he had never discussed about application of steroids with Brian McNamee.
Segui supported McNamee’s decision to save evidence about application of prohibited medications by his clients. According to Segui, it is a proper decision because sometimes innocent guys are blamed but guilty persons are covered. So, he could help to reveal the truth.
Although the judge Walton was asked to permit David Segui to present testimony in the trial related to Roger Clemens, it is unclear yet whether the judge will allow it.

Some contaminated dietary supplements lead to positives for steroids

The WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto tested positive for Nandrolone. The drug testing was conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA).
Andre Berto had to fight against Victor Ortiz on June 23, 2012 in Los Angeles. This boxer agreed to submit to random drug testing before the match. Both “A” and “B” urine samples indicated about usage of Nandrolone.
It was already the second time this month, when the VADA tested fighters and caught them administering steroids. The first of them was the boxer Lamont Peterson. He was scheduled to meet Amir Khan. It is quite ironically that Peterson requested random blood and urine testing. The drug test conducted by the VADA showed that Peterson had testosterone of exogenous origin some weeks before the match.
The tests conducted by the VADA influenced greatly on financial position of several companies. For example, Golden Boy Promotions lost significant potential profit due to positives of Lamont Peterson. It was set by the CEO of the company Richard Schaeffer that the company lost 250, 000 dollars.
The cancelation of the fight between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz will probably not influence greatly on financial position of certain promotional companies because Andre Berto will be possibly replaced by another boxer who will meet Ortiz.
As for the boxer Andre Berto, he didn’t explain what had led to his positives. This boxer hired the attorney Howard Jacobs that would represent and defeat him.
Andre Berto said that he had never administered steroids. So, he noted that he investigated with his attorney what could lead to positives for steroids. Andre Berto concluded that he had never cheated; he succeeded in sport due to hard work and dedication.
The attorney Howard Jacobs was hired by numerous other athletes who turned out to be victims of fake nutritional supplements.
It is claimed that since the steroid Nandrolone has quite long half life and it is detected easily, it isn’t very popular among doping sportspeople. But it has been displayed many times that some dietary supplements contained the compound nandrolone which led to positives for steroids. But since sometimes not every compound is written on the label, sportspersons become victims of contaminated sport supplements.

Anderson Silva will meet steroid user at UFC 148

Chael Sonnen is allowed to apply anabolic steroids. The doctor Timothy Trainor noticed that this sportsman actually experienced hypogonadism.
What does this condition represent? Hypogonadism is linked with insufficient production of testosterone. Physicians ordinarily prescribe hormone replacement therapy in order to treat this disorder.
Chael Sonnen has obtained a therapeutic use exemption (TUE). So, this mixed martial artist is allowed to use steroids for clinical needs and meet Anderson Silva at UFC 148 in July 2012.
According to recommendations of Chael Sonnen’s doctor, he should apply injections of Testosterone Enanthate and Testosterone Cypionate twice a week. The measures which are indicated have not been disclosed. But under rules of the Nevada Athletic Commission, blood serum levels of testosterone in Chael Sonnen should be within normal range on the morning after the match with Silva.
The physician Trainor claims that those who compete with TUE must be tested on the morning after the match to find out whether they have utilized something right before the match.
The doctor Trainor suggests that testosterone can cause performance-enhancing effects, if it is utilized right before the fight. He claims that injections must not be applied in the days before a fight to prevent high testosterone levels.
But it seems that the NAC doesn’t know that steroids cause effects related to increase of performance, not only if they are used right before competitions. Intake of steroids influences significantly on performance during trainings before competitions. And the results remain even after athletes stop administering them.
Sonnen had increased testosterone levels at UFC 117. He noted that he had tested positive because he had been on TRT.  After his appeal the suspension was lowered to 6 months from one year. But Chael Sonnen didn’t have any TUE that time.

Galabin Boevski attempted to board plane with narcotics

Galabin Boevski, a Bulgarian weightlifter, World Champion and Olympic Champion, was sentenced to 9 months in prison because of illicit international drug trade. This sportsperson was arrested in October 2011 at the Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil after he tried to board the plane with 8 kg of cocaine. Galabin Boevski was led to Bulgaria. Cocaine was estimated. It could be sold at the price of 500, 000 dollars on the streets in countries of Europe.
Boevski is a celebrated sportsperson in Bulgaria. He is considered to be one of the most famous weightlifters in this country.
First he was caught administering steroids in 1995. Undoubtedly, he was sentenced to suspension.
Then this sportsman was caught taking banned preparations in 2004. It was the second time when he broke doping laws. In fact, Galabin Boevski didn’t test positive for any prohibited products. But anti-doping officials defined that he didn’t provide own urine. The urine that was provided by this sportsperson belonged to another person. As a result, Galabin Boevski was sentenced to 8-year suspension. During serving the suspension he was caught trafficking cocaine.
Boevski became prominent due to his achievements in weightlifting. This sportsman won gold medals at several competitions: at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships in Athens, the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the 2001 World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya.
At the 2003 World Championships in Vancouver Boevski and his teammates from Bulgaria provided urine samples which belonged to another person. It was determined by anti-doping officials that the three urine samples were produced by one individual. These sportspersons were sentenced to suspensions. Boevski appealed the suspension but it was unsuccessful.
Galabin Boevski broke several world records at various competitions. He held 3 world records. The best lifts of this person were following: a 162, 5 kg snatch, 196, 5 kg clean and jerk and a 357, 5 kg of two lifts at the 1999 Championships.
It is strange but this sportsman’s reputation wasn’t spoiled in Bulgaria. He used his status of celebrity in sports in order to launch a Technogym fitness center in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The center was named Atama Wellness and Spa.
Moreover, the Brazilian judge Maria Isabel do Prado confirmed that Galabin Boevski applied also his status of celebrity in sports in order to traffic the narcotic cocaine. She also added that this athlete used the participation of his daughter in a Brazilian tennis tournament in order to hide his illicit operations related to smuggling of the narcotic.
The weightlifter Galabin Boevski decided to appeal the conviction.

Roger Clemens’ prosecutors are disappointed

The desire of the federal government connected with the case of Roger Clemens was following: they desired to prove that this athlete had lied before the Congress about intake of anabolic steroids and HGH. But the government couldn’t achieve this goal. It was expected that Andy Pettitte would say that Roger Clemens had acknowledged that he had taken the prohibited medicines during a conversation in 1999 or in 2000. But the affirmation of Andy Pettitee was shocking for prosecutors. This man said that he couldn’t confirm that Roger Clemens had used steroids and HGH because he was not sure.
In fact, were the prosecutors of Roger Clemens disappointed by the testimony of Andy Pettitte? This person swore for the 2008 Congressional hearings on application of steroids in the Major League Baseball that Roger Clemens admitted to administration of HGH. But he provided opposite affirmations at the Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Washington.
Michael Attanasio, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, asked Andy Pettitte whether he can say that he is 50-50 that he has misunderstood Roger Clemens about HGH. Pettitte answered that he is indeed 50-50 about this aspect.
When the prosecutors heard Pettitte’s answer, they became confused. They affirmed that Andy Pettitte never said this way, when he was asked several times.
The U. S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton noticed that he understood that Andy Pettitte’s answer has been conflicted. In fact, his statement was following: “I don’t know”.
The attorneys for Roger Clemens utilized the moment of the federal prosecutors’ embarrassment. They requested the judge to brush aside the testimony of Andy Pettitte because he was 50-50. The attorneys claimed that he probably misunderstood the athlete Roger Clemens or he forgot the details of the conversation.
The government has stated that the jury still allows taking into account the testimony of Andy Pettitte. ASUSA Dunham has claimed that under federal rules jury is allowed to choose which testimony to believe. He hopes that the jury will brush aside the testimony which doesn’t support the government.
Thus, the testimony presented by Andy Pettitte and his wife led to problems. Testimonies of Andy’s wife during the first trial led to the declaration of a mistrial by the judge Walton.
Pettitte affirms that he is Roger Clemens’ friend. Clemens must also confirm that they are friends after Andy  Pettitte’s last testimony.

Cullen Mutrie shot police officers that raided his house for steroid investigation

Law enforcement officials came to Cullen Mutrie for a drug investigation. This ma shot 5 police officers at his home. As a result, the Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney was killed; 4 police officials were seriously injured. The next morning this killer and a woman were found dead.
It is suggested that Mutrie was taking anabolic steroids at the time of the shootout. Jane Young, the New Hampshire Associate Attorney General, noticed that toxicology reports were waiting in order to learn whether metabolites of steroids were in the body of this person.
Police officers affirmed that Cullen Mutrie had had very muscular appearance. This person worked at Genetix Fitness in Seabrook. It was described that he was 6 feet 3 inches tall. He weighed 275 pounds. During a search which was in July 2010 law enforcement officers found anabolic steroids at his home. The policeman Wayne Young saw them in a coffee table. He said that he had saw a plastic bag with some vials. A vial was with powder; others contained solution. The labels indicated that they were steroids.
The New Hampshire State Crime Lab analyzed the vials. It was claimed that the vials contained Trenbolone Acetate, Sustanon 250, Boldenone Undecylenate and Nandrolone Decanoate.
John Miller, a professor of kinesiology, was asked whether a link between the criminal actions and “roid rage” of anabolic steroids could present. The specialist claimed that it was plausible. But according to him, it is impossible to affirm that there was a direct link between intake of anabolic steroids and the crime.
John Miller suggested that steroids that were on the black market were provided from legal pharmaceutical companies. But he has been mistaken because the majority of steroids which are sold on the black market are produced in underground labs. It is even suspected that Mutrie manufactured steroids.
Since a connection between criminal actions and steroid use is a controversial issue, not only police officers but also correspondents investigate the case related to the cop-killer.

Questionable persons surround Alistar Overeem

Alistar Overeem, a mixed martial artist, appealed his suspension that was received by him for intake of anabolic steroids in April 2012. But Alistar Overeem couldn’t win his appeal against members of NSAC. He lost his license for nine months. Then this fighter may come back.
This fighter acknowledged that he had used injectable testosterone that was advised him by his doctor. Alistar Overeem used the strategy which was claimed to be boring. He noted that he had never utilized anabolic steroids or other related products intentionally. He tried to make the NSAC think that his injectable administration of steroids was accidental.
David Chenoff, the defense attorney for Alistar Overeem, is experienced in representing famous sportspersons.
Chesnoff called the personal doctor of Overeem to testify during the hearing. It was suggested that Dr. Molina would testify in defense for this athlete. Testimonies of this doctor were quite pitiable. The physician Molina presented an explanation for recommendations of certain products that led to Overeem’s enhanced testosterone: epitestosterone ratio.
The treating physician of Alistar Overeem acknowledged that he directed and injected this athlete with a mixture of Toradol and Dexamethasone because he suffered from an injury. Actually, these preparations are used for anti-inflammatory purposes. But administration of testosterone for recovery from injuries is not approved by the FDA.
It is believed that the physician Molina hasn’t warned Alistar Overeem that these medicines contain the anabolic steroid testosterone. But it is evidentially that he has never asked about it.
Thus, testimonies of Dr. Molina turned out to display lack of the evidence connected with medical needs for application of prohibited products by Alistar Overeem. The health care provider couldn’t present any reasonable explanation that could justify recommendations of Toradol and Dexamethasone to his patient. Testimonies of the physician Molina worked against Alistar Overeem.
Actually, it was felt that Overeem was a victim of the physician’s quack.
But it is possible to suggest that this strategy was designed by the defense attorney for this sportsman.
Pat Lundval, a commissioner, was probably impressed by the defense of Alistar Overeem. She even called him a “smart guy”.
The members of the NSAC seemed to be convinced that Overeem has been actually a great guy but he has surrounded himself with such questionable persons, as Dr. Moline. They recommended him to look for more qualified professionals in the future.
